When I attended the online Easter mass at Heart of the Nation Church last Sunday, I was still rather weak. One week later (thanks to Mummy's nutritious chicken soup), my fatigue has improved considerably. My voice too is much stronger, but I still avoid talking for long periods of time. As impatient as I am to be completely back to normal, I understand and have come to realise that it would be a mistake to push too hard to get my groove back.
Today, the Catholic church celebrates Divine Mercy Sunday, which is the second Sunday of Easter and it also concludes the Octave of Easter. It reminds us of the compassion of our Lord and how we should always reflect on the graces that we have received from Him. And we should always trust in Him.
For dinner, I was in for a treat. Chef Derrick cooked his wife's favourite Fried Beehoon. Yummy! Bearing in mind his wife's present limitations, he turned down the notch on the spice level. So it was really delicious! And after dinner, as usual, he reminded his obstinate bunny to get her dose of Vitamin C from oranges to aid the healing process.
