Hubby was tasked with a fairly long shopping list during the weekend, and it was not surprising that he missed out on several items. Unfortunately, two of the items that he neglected to buy were the vegetables needed for today's and tomorrow's dinners.
However, he was fortunate enough to be able to go to the market whilst at work. Now before eyebrows are raised and accusation of slacking off at work are thrown at hubby, let me clarify that this market is at his workplace. The mental health institution believes in giving patients a second chance at life. One of the work sectors available for them is farming. Patients tend fruits and vegetables at the farm ward, and get to sell their produce at the daily morning market. The profits are shared equally. Hospital staff are encouraged to patronise the morning market.

In the past, hubby has bought lady's fingers or okra from the market at his hospital. We have found those sold there (I nickname it The Zombie Farm) to be much fresher than those sold at the wet market and supermarket. Last week, hubby came home with eggplants too, in addition to the okra. And today, hubby delighted his wife with her favourite angled luffa. Hmmm...now I shall tell him to be on the lookout for bittergourd, another favourite of mine.
