Tub of heavenly stuff from Angeline

When you've had a particularly exhausting day at work in which you were literally breathless and fighting for energy, and later in the evening, your good friend sends over her self-made ice cream, you know you are blessed. Before my thyroidectomy, Angeline had promised to let me have some of her yummy  rum & raisin ice cream, especially ideal for soothing my throat. It was easily the best ice cream that I've ever tasted. Haagen-Dazs and Inside Scoop can take a backseat!

Ice cream that has been tenderly made, generously doused with huge raisins that had been lovingly soaked in rum for a couple of weeks...bliss!

     Somewhere at the back of my mind, I recall someone advising not to consume alcohol one day prior to and one day after the Covid-19 vaccination. But hey, this ice cream was given by a doctor and I had a taste of it together with another doctor! So there!

     Today's severe bout of fatigue and breathlessness could be due to several possibilities :

1. Body's recovery from surgery

2. Side effect of hypothyroidism

3. Teaching (and talking a lot, because both classes were weak classes that required control and explanation) for 4 periods direct

4. Side effect of yesterday's Pfizer vaccine

Personally, I think the highest possibility falls on no. 3. After a short rest, with wet tissue to cool myself down and warm water to soothe my throat, I could move on to another class.
